LoveJusticeInternational steps in during the process of trafficking to rescue women BEFORE they’re tricked into a life of slavery. They have saved over 13,500 lives… YOU GUYS!! We have the chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus, even if that’s simply investing in & equipping people like LoveJustice to be able to continue to do their work! I was thinking about this sweet shoot I styled & I’m falling in love with it all over again! Look at the moment of that dress though!! ? ••
I hope you guys had the best long weekend! I found the tastiest rainbow veggie + lime crema salad recipe that I’ll make for the rest of my life, suh gud! But the best part was having a sleepover with 2 of our besties @kelseyhettinga & her husband Tim. We made margs & watched a movie then they crashed in the guest room. Kelsey and I made coffee together in the morning, got ready & went shopping and then prepped food for a bbq with the rest of our besties! @kaleighdsimmons @amberannie @ @djorn0.

These three. I have never second guessed pressing pause on my career to give them all of my heart, I think that’s because I never let myself stop dreaming. That doesn’t mean I didn’t fight with thoughts of doubt – I definitely did. A lot of women feel like they lose their dreams when ‘mama’ becomes their title, understandably so! The demand to be present and available for them doesn’t leave much free time to invest in ourselves as women apart from being a mom. But can I just throw this out there… choosing to be a mom first in no way disqualifies you from chasing after your dreams! They might get a little dusty but they’ll still be there when you’re ready to pursue them! And for mom’s who need to work to provide, that doesn’t discount you as a mother! Finding the balance is HARD! I continue to see women show up, give it their everything in their careers and at home and seriously right now, y’all are BOSSES. I’m just really proud of so many of you for doing what you can to hold onto your dreams through the sacrifice of raising kids & when the time comes for YOU to shine, God honors the sacrifice and it doesn’t go unnoticed by those around you. I’ve become a pillar of strength in my kids eyes, a place of refuge & peace – someone I wasn’t familiar with before my kids helped me see that that’s part of who I am to my core. Dear Mr. Sun,
Thank you for coming to visit and shining oh-so-vibrantly today!
So, this morning I went to a kickboxing class at 7:45am, I was still wiping sleep drool from my chin when I pulled up. So early. But! It was my first time & can I just say, I felt like such a BOSS. Seriously. The whole time I was taking to my punching bag, “my arms might be skinny, but fool you’re going down!!” It was an entirely different kind of satisfying than I had anticipated! I won’t be able to walk or lift my arms tomorrow but it was def worth it. After that I came home with a tray full tasty Starbucks drinks for my hair dresser (& lifelong friend), one of my closest gals & myself in preparation for a spring hair makeover in my kitchen! (Pics to follow someday, we all know I’m not the best at posting often…Is it bad that I don’t care?!) It’s been a really happy day and I’m a really happy girl. Also, any chance you noticed the incredibly fantastic top I’m wearing in this picture?! @clothandcabin Spring line gives me all the feels! So many good pieces for you to drool over, good luck only picking 7!! Happy Saturday!! .

We started spring shopping and it was so very exciting! With 3 kids in my house we are all (desperately) ready to go outside and run (or lay… if you’re me, you’re definitely not running) in the cozy sunshine! Smoothies, the sprinkler, grilling everything possible… siiiiggggh… we are so ready. Although we are also trying not to get too ahead of ourselves considering this is Michigan and well, it’s Michigan. No need to explain. Cheers to a few more weeks of our cozy sweaters, right?! I’m really doing my best here, guys… spring please hurry. (Also, shout out to this kids eyebrows!! They’re what dreams are made of.)

A sneak peak from today’s shoot with a few locals that seriously left me floating! Collaborating is the best! Well when it works as seamlessly as it did today, anyways. I’m ALL for partnering to create magic, without a doubt – but that’s not always the outcome, I’ve gotten majorly burned and discouraged as a result of collabs too. (Am I allows to say that or this a taboo topic?! I don’t really care either way. ??‍♀️)
But I choose to keep going, to forget about the people who treated me poorly or felt for some reason they had to bulldoze me. Maybe I was a threat? If that’s the case they never took the time to know me, my vision or my heart and that’s a bummer because I’m a pretty easy person to buddy up to! Needless to say, I’m a little bit more careful with who I choose to partner up with these days.
Today I worked with @helloimemmaquinn @alyssamcelheny @launchsalon and they were all of the things (and more!) that you hope for in a project! We made magic. I have more projects coming that I’m very excited to share with you all!! Plus more stunners from today’s shoot as well! .

Some days I’m completely consumed with trying to keep up with the trail of chaos this ones leaves behind. Think blueberries that seemed to have escaped his plate & somehow were stepped on, kinetic sand hiding in toy trucks all over the house, a game of Jenga that consists of simply ‘plowing them over’ again and again. Those are real days in my world, not days filled with hot showers and chasing after my career dreams in the coolest coffee shops around the city. I crave those days, I dream of them! But what I crave more is watching Weston play using his imagination, pausing while the house is in major disarray to play a game of Uno with Ryder (he belly laughs through them! It’s the best ever!) or letting Delaney sing on her microphone and hiding around the corner to listen while she sings worship songs at the top of her lungs! ———-
When I feel like my career dreams come secondary some weeks, I’m glad because that means my family came first. I have my whole life ahead of me to build my business which I will do with every spare moment I find and chase after my dream like a madwoman! ——
But it goes like this, I’m a wife. I’m a mom, I’m a girlboss Stylist. And I’m really proud of it!
