I mean it, I’m really having a hard time getting over these balloon sleeves! So good.
But also, church this morning… no joke, kids. I’m stoked to attend a church where I leave feeling challenged spiritually, excited about my future, supported and loved, filled up with vision and expectant for great things! Taking this step with styling has been vulnerable and intimidating at moments. It’s also been thrilling and full of excitement! But I’m human. I doubt my ability, feel insecure, fight with comparison and THEN I’m reminded by a God who loves me that I’m worthy of success, I’m deserving of a voice, I have Him in my corner directing my steps and asking me to trust His leading, and that I’m not other people – I’m me and he has a plan for ME! He leaves me feeling capable, valuable, favored & full of faith – I’m surrendering that battle! It’s His! This little adventure I’m on is His to breath life into and who am I to doubt His plan for my life or limit it’s greatness with fear?! I’m humbled that He believes in me and has even greater vision for my life than I realize! I’m excited to see it all unfold and I choose to hold my life with open hands held high for Him to use! ? @helloimemmaquinn .

Mondays, hooonnnnnestly… why do you have to be such a stinker sometimes?! Real life – one kid was up throwing up all night, another was up with jaw pain and my husband hurt his neck so I was left to run the show solo. (I mean I felt like superwoman so I’m not complaining!) Talk about a rough night!! But then again, we’re alive… Life is full and happy and this season of funk is a short one! So today, I’m cool with you Monday – let’s turn my frown upside down! My grocery shopping is done, my coffee is hot and the way those fishnets look with that feminine skirt has me feeling good… so here’s to you, Monday! Oh heeeeey Friday!! I’ve missed ya, you should come around more often! I’m heading into the weekend feeling all kinds of layered happiness! If you’re not a big accessory person it’s cool, I’ve got a suggestion or two for you! Adding a few tanks or bralette tops to your basics collection is necessary! Black, gray and even a color or two for your real wild side! They’re SO fun! Imagine this outfit without the tank layer (OK in all honesty, its a dress I just hiked way up, awwwe snap!). Here are 2 of my little humans! (And also my incredibly smiley face, wow. I assure you no children were eaten in the process of getting this photo! Only nibbled.) Weston & Delaney. A big part of this adventure is being authentic and consistent to who I am. These kids (and my big one, Ryder, he was as school when this was taken… who told him to go there?!) are my priority, my exhausting and beautiful full time job! I’ve learned more about myself by raising these little’s than I ever imagined was possible! I’ve felt greater appreciation for the simple things that I would have just passed by unnoticed before, I have more vision for who I want to become & the greatest sense of belonging I’ve ever experienced! These kids are forgiving, gracious, generous, very (very) silly and they’re authentic. They aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in and they’re sure they can accomplish whatever they put their minds to. Yeah, I wanna be like them. Plus, look at ’em!! Uug. They melt me.

There’s something so insightful about the way each person interprets trends. A velvet cami could be worn with high wasted suit pants and a blazer or the same velvet top can be worn with distressed denim and a flannel tied around your waist. Both are a reflection of a mood or personality… it’s intriguing! The most exciting part is discovering the different options within your own wardrobe! You’ll feel less frustration over what to wear when you know you can wear each piece multiple ways with other items you already own! Sometimes it just takes a second set of eyes to put the pieces together and show you how it all works. I like comfort. I like easy. But I also love edgy and elegant. It’s awesome to figure out how to make all of the different elements you love work together. Then they’re just a little expression of who you are & I like that, I like it a lot.
