Today has been one of those days, ya know the kind where you’re left asking, “what the eff is happening?” Yeah, they blow big time! It’s so like us humans to sit and wallow or invest all of our worries into rough situations; but let me just say that is not how I’m going to live my life! If we spent as much time believing we CAN, we ARE good enough, we DO have what it takes and actually DOING something to change our circumstances and a whole lot less time being crippled by fear of what might never even happen, then my God we would be much healthier people. So, here’s to staring a tricky situation in the face and throwing a solid knee jab straight to its undercarriage! You are worth the fight to make your life what you’ve always wanted! Go get em girl!

It’s Friyay up in my house today so I figured why the heck not do an introduction?! A lot can happen in a year which is probably when I did my last one. oops. Sometimes I suffer from the lack of interest in posting on Instagram! There’s your first fun fact about me & dang it was an exciting one! Good bye to those of you who have stopped reading by now and hello to the ones who have a heart! ?
I’m Olivia! My name came from the original Juliet in Romeo & Juliet. Her last name was Hussy, thankfully I don’t carry any association to that part.
I’m 31. An entrepreneur. A wife of 10 years & mama bear (the scary kind) to 3 cubs.
I make the best ugly faces on earth and I’m dang proud of it! My daughter has been blessed with the same gift – God bless her! I’m on a health kick which so far today has included a donut, a cookie & gummy bears. Ugh. Friday (Thursday) fail.
I suffered the loss of my childhood home to a fire we fought with mixing bowls full of sink water. We weren’t prepared & although it may be one of the most traumatic things ever, it was the first time I ran to Jesus seeking a deeper peace than I could understand & He gave me restoration – I was in 8th grade.
I’m a child of divorce and a mother who’s lost 3 children to miscarriage. I am also a child of God and someone who can tell you the horrors of life will never stop me from chasing after Jesus or my dreams & that they don’t define who we are!
I’ve always, always had a heart to support, uplift & invest in women from both a spiritual and practical standpoint. Jesus & fashion mingle in my world & shoot girl, it’s the best ever.
I’m not a picky eater unless it comes to mushrooms & olives – gag! I created my own French macaroon recipe and blow my own mind every time I make them.
Gourmet cheeses makes me weak in the kneeses & if it comes with a glass of red I’ll love you for life!
Lastly… I accept you! In all of your forms, colors, shapes & whims – I am really glad you’re here and I wish I could learn all of the things that make you uniquely & beautifully you! Going through life is messy, mysterious & full of heart pumping excitement and it should be spent with a tribe surrounding you! ?

The amount of snow that has fallen in the last 12 hours in GR is ummm, no bueno. Beautiful? Absolutely! Cozy? I mean it’s like magic when you’re inside looking out! But I think half of this would have been just as lovely, sky… Thanks a lot. I think it’s officially time to say it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with all of this sparkling, white ‘tow’ – as my 3 year old would say. Maybe we should start wearing our ‘glubs’, yeah probably a good idea.

California bound in 2 days!! We are so ready for a taste of our west Coast home. Time is such a crazy thing, of course watching my kids grow with each passing moment is majorly bittersweet but it’s one of those things you really forget to seize until you’re reminded how much value it actually holds. Im pretty sure Weston has grown an inch since last week and it seems the baby in him just keeps fading everyday. (Insert Mom sobs here) I am SO ready to spend time with family & friends in Ca but a week to catch up after a year of time has passed never really fills that space of longing to be a part of their lives. Soaking in each moment of whatever season you’re in is so crucial! Being aware of the time and making strategic decisions means you never have to wish you did it differently, you’ll look back on moments in your life and your heart will feel full. Plus, the more that passes the older I get and… yeah, no thanks. Ps. Fall florals are killin’ me this year! So. Good.

(Read through for an exciting opportunity!!) Here I am doing what I love with the worlds sweetest assistant! She is also one of the best friends I have ever known! Along with the beauty that took this photo, @thecozinessconsultant who also happens to be my sister. I’m feeling extra grateful for the team of people that don’t only love me, they support me through moments of weakness and of celebration! They’ve breathed encouragement and affirmation every step of the way but also offered honest, kind and fresh perspective when I’ve felt stuck. •
I don’t believe a business is (as) successful when you don’t have people behind you that believe in your vision and want to share in it with you!
So I want to welcome you, business owners and creatives, to share in a celebration of support and give honor where it’s due! Would any of you be interested in a small get together where you can bring one of your support people, (maybe the ones who don’t get recognized enough) and treat them to dinner and a mingling evening?! It would be a limited event with enough spots for 10 of you to bring along one additional person where you can treat them to dinner and drinks and honor their support?? This is my BABY (although not such a baby anymore… waaahhh!) and he’s going to be 3 in less than a week!! Time is a crazy thing, it’s so precious and a total disappearing act. I think about the things we’ve done in the last 9 years with our kids and the worth each moment held & I feel filled up & overflowing with gratitude!
We are constantly figuring out where to make adjustments to become more patient, gracious & consistent with our kids but I’ll tell you confidently that we love them well!
This baby of mine is an incredible kid – he’s confident, extremely silly, imaginative, passionate and (obviously) adorable. So excited to celebrate his life next week!

I want to be authentic. (And good at math, but yikes… that is not the case!) I want to be true to who I am & approachable to all people! I hope to always offer my support and encouragement to people who need it and never make them feel invaluable or unimportant. Everyone has value, everyone is worthy of acceptance.

I don’t always do well the inauthenticity of social media. The fact that it’s a constant guessing game about what is real vs make believe is exhausting. I’m guilty of posting pictures I feel the best about but I don’t post them to gloat, or because I think I’m beautiful – in fact, I think my nose looks disproportionate to my other features in photos and showing my teeth is another one of those touchy subjects. I love style, I love clothes, I post my photos because I hope to inspire people! But also because it keeps me moving forward with my business since I am one of those people who fights with self doubt when momentum seems to fizzle.

I am however, confident. Sure that God made me with purpose! He gave me talent that will be used and needed and bring life to lots of people! I love what I do, I’m willing to fight for it and keep going through the hard days and moments of self doubt because someone needs me to show up & be the best possible version of myself! For me, it isn’t about just me. It’s about the people who need me to show up and be a stylist, a friend, an open ear, someone who won’t judge them or shame them. •
I’m in this thing to do what I love, to be successful at it and watch it produce fruit that lasts in people’s lives. Jesus gave me the vision for LivStyled, He keeps me grounded and full of hope for my future, He opens doors that I am in awe of and He is faithful!
