My life has been consumed with painting, scrubbing grout, cleaning door jams, pulling weeds, solo parenting & often feeling like I’m barely keeping my head above water long. This is a gentle reminder to myself that although life is (complete chaos) slightly out of the norm right now, I am the same me. The same hard working, bust-A girl boss, energetic & diligent mom, fun loving wife & adventurous friend. Tough seasons can take a toll while walking through them but we often don’t realize what we are actually learning with each step along the way. We grow, we accept challenges & fight to over come them, we get sharpened & refined if we choose to keep on going believing that we are worth it & that we are more than conquerors. I suppose this isn’t just a reminder to me, but to you too! Your tough seasons don’t define you, they build you. Keep on truckin’ girl, silence the chaos and take a big, deep breath and remember who you are! You’re a conqueror! .

Do you have a good assortment of flats & heels for the spring?! If not here’s your quick list: nude heel, white sneakers, black mule. You can wear one of those with everything! I mean if it were my shoe collection I’d add in something with studs, snake print & mauve and ditch the basics! You do you, girl & don’t think twice because what you love matters most! Transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring can be tooouuugh! The suns warm, the breeze is cold – so how do you dress for that nonsense?! Don’t be afraid to continue wearing your sweaters, just mix them with a lighter, springier piece on bottom like light wash denim, a pencil skirt or a shoe that exposes your ankle/top of your foot. Add in spring colored layers on top with your jeans & don’t second guess wearing your heavier blazers still! There’s no wrong way as long as your warm when it’s chilly and cool when it’s hot! And keep in mind that color is the most significant element transitioning through seasons! Happy spring!!

We just spent the week with some of our closets, most dear friends from our previous home city, San Diego. I am so filled up and grateful! Our week was spent making new memories, vulnerably sharing challenges and reminding each other that being together and living in each moment with people you love is like splashing cool water on a rosy-cheeked face. It was so nice to slow down and be aware of the places, spaces & people who enrich our lives so much; especially to share it with someone who I adore so greatly!

It’s a Good Friday indeed! Slept in, pancakes for breaky, movies and snuggles with a tiny guy who I think it feeling a tad under the weather. Dear Mr. Sun,
Thank you for coming to visit and shining oh-so-vibrantly today!
So, this morning I went to a kickboxing class at 7:45am, I was still wiping sleep drool from my chin when I pulled up. So early. But! It was my first time & can I just say, I felt like such a BOSS. Seriously. The whole time I was taking to my punching bag, “my arms might be skinny, but fool you’re going down!!” It was an entirely different kind of satisfying than I had anticipated! I won’t be able to walk or lift my arms tomorrow but it was def worth it. After that I came home with a tray full tasty Starbucks drinks for my hair dresser (& lifelong friend), one of my closest gals & myself in preparation for a spring hair makeover in my kitchen! (Pics to follow someday, we all know I’m not the best at posting often…Is it bad that I don’t care?!) It’s been a really happy day and I’m a really happy girl. Also, any chance you noticed the incredibly fantastic top I’m wearing in this picture?! @clothandcabin Spring line gives me all the feels! So many good pieces for you to drool over, good luck only picking 7!! Happy Saturday!! .

•Worry about loving yourself instead of loving the idea of other people loving you• Easier said than done sometimes, huh? We all strive for acceptance & validation – we were created with a need for those things! The problem is when we try and attain them by being someone we think others might love and are too insecure to be who we really are with fear of rejection.
I’m not funny enough. My teeth are too crooked. My house isn’t full of expensive things. I don’t wear designer brands so I’m not legit. Those are all lies I’ve had to overcome in my own life, things that have hindered me in the past from believing in who I am & what I’m capable of. Honestly, things I genuinely don’t care about anymore thanks to the grace of God! I am Olivia Fitzpatrick – first a wife, then a mother & lastly a stylist. I’m just a girl trying to live my best life – a life that leaves a legacy of honesty, kindness & inspiration. I hope to be a truer version of the love of Jesus than the Christians who think they’re worthy of throwing the first stone. I hope to be a relatable friend, mother, wife and business woman – a place others can find belonging & encouragement. My dream isn’t to be a famous stylist; my dream is to let the Lord work through me, my business & through my experience as a mom and simply hold on through the adventure! He is capable of doing more with my life than I could ever hope, dream or imagine! My only concern these days is if I’m positioned and ready for Him to use at any moment, whether it’s in my kids lives, a strangers or in my work. I might not always love certain things about myself but I will give Him the room to help me see myself & others through His eyes to the best of my ability.

We started spring shopping and it was so very exciting! With 3 kids in my house we are all (desperately) ready to go outside and run (or lay… if you’re me, you’re definitely not running) in the cozy sunshine! Smoothies, the sprinkler, grilling everything possible… siiiiggggh… we are so ready. Although we are also trying not to get too ahead of ourselves considering this is Michigan and well, it’s Michigan. No need to explain. Cheers to a few more weeks of our cozy sweaters, right?! I’m really doing my best here, guys… spring please hurry. (Also, shout out to this kids eyebrows!! They’re what dreams are made of.)
