“Oh, hi! My name’s Olivia! So nice to meet you… now tell me about your childhood & also your biggest dreams & if you cry, I’ll hug you!” Yeah, I’m that girl. But there’s also this side of me, you guys…This side that is so similar to a 12 year old boy… who cries with obscene laugher following a toot joke (yes, we say toot) or when I feel like chasing my kids around with an overly dramatic evil laugh and feel extremely satisfied by their screams… of joy, come on!! I’m not that crazy!! (but also sheer terror, let’s be real. I’ve made them cry.) You just get what you get with me. There’s really no point to any of this except that I thought you should know that there’s no shame in my game… but also so that you’re not startled if I ever approach you with a very scary laugh. You’re welcome. .

•Worry about loving yourself instead of loving the idea of other people loving you• Easier said than done sometimes, huh? We all strive for acceptance & validation – we were created with a need for those things! The problem is when we try and attain them by being someone we think others might love and are too insecure to be who we really are with fear of rejection.
I’m not funny enough. My teeth are too crooked. My house isn’t full of expensive things. I don’t wear designer brands so I’m not legit. Those are all lies I’ve had to overcome in my own life, things that have hindered me in the past from believing in who I am & what I’m capable of. Honestly, things I genuinely don’t care about anymore thanks to the grace of God! I am Olivia Fitzpatrick – first a wife, then a mother & lastly a stylist. I’m just a girl trying to live my best life – a life that leaves a legacy of honesty, kindness & inspiration. I hope to be a truer version of the love of Jesus than the Christians who think they’re worthy of throwing the first stone. I hope to be a relatable friend, mother, wife and business woman – a place others can find belonging & encouragement. My dream isn’t to be a famous stylist; my dream is to let the Lord work through me, my business & through my experience as a mom and simply hold on through the adventure! He is capable of doing more with my life than I could ever hope, dream or imagine! My only concern these days is if I’m positioned and ready for Him to use at any moment, whether it’s in my kids lives, a strangers or in my work. I might not always love certain things about myself but I will give Him the room to help me see myself & others through His eyes to the best of my ability.

Yesterday was a much needed day of adventure and all things lovely! The @clothandcabin Spring lineup is SO good, you guys! I can’t wait for it to go live so you can buy all the pretty things for yourselves! And let’s just throw down a solid shout out to @eandlsalongr because Erin & @samklugartistry are some incredible humans! They were so down to earth, which is way the heck up there on my list of hopes when meeting new people. I felt beautiful, valued and really thankful to have met 2 more female powerhouses in the Grand Rapids community. The photo shoot with Cloth&Cabin was hilarious, inspiring, laid back and overflowing with mimosas – seriously my glass was never left half empty. Can’t wait to see the magic from so many killer creatives working together & so grateful I got to be a part of it!

We started spring shopping and it was so very exciting! With 3 kids in my house we are all (desperately) ready to go outside and run (or lay… if you’re me, you’re definitely not running) in the cozy sunshine! Smoothies, the sprinkler, grilling everything possible… siiiiggggh… we are so ready. Although we are also trying not to get too ahead of ourselves considering this is Michigan and well, it’s Michigan. No need to explain. Cheers to a few more weeks of our cozy sweaters, right?! I’m really doing my best here, guys… spring please hurry. (Also, shout out to this kids eyebrows!! They’re what dreams are made of.)
