This no jacket November weather in Michigan is awwwweeeesome! Heeyyyyo! The California in me is thankful for every warmer day we get! What about you?! Do you prefer warm weather or cold? I would take the snow however, I just don’t want the cold! •
If you’ve never purchased a scarf from @hm you should seriously consider it! They’re around $20/$25 and all of my favorite ones come from there, including this gray one. Soft, warm & always have great colors! Shopping for quality things doesn’t always mean spending more money, (I mean let’s be real, most times it does… but not always!) there are always treasures hiding in the ‘right price’ stores so keep an eye out for them! You might be surprised what some brands offer for the prices! Side note – I love cyber Monday, shopping + pjs and a mystery podcast all at once?! Sign me up!! I hope you guys found some killer deals! I could hear music on the other side of this pale yellow door and although that may not sound scary to you, I was terribly nervous they would see me on their doorstep and come guns blazing out to get me! But let’s be real, with a soft yellow door and such cheerful potted flowers they probably would have offered me cookies.
Cheers to you sweet yellow door and mystery friends inside for creating such a welcoming and happy little space that made me feel both thrill and appreciation!
I hope and wonder if the owners of this lovely space feel the same emotions I did about what they created. I sure hope so! I’m (obviously) one of those people that thinks pretty deeply, I tend to hope that any ordinary day holds the possibility of growth or greatness & sometimes even hunt for it. Typically it’s the unexpected, subtle things that captivate me the most; like this small side entrance hiding alongside of the huge, stunning home it belongs to.
Maybe it’s the part of me that is rooting for the underdog, or maybe the part that is captivated by the little details, or maybe the space of my heart that believes in the power of small victories in achieving the big vision. Whichever it is, this little door seemed to catch my attention and allow my heart to wander with curiosity.
Not all of my photos have a story or enlightening moment behind them, but I’m proud of them all. Each one is a little step forward and each one gives me the opportunity to share a small piece of my heart with you! ? @kelseyhettinga .

I want to be authentic. (And good at math, but yikes… that is not the case!) I want to be true to who I am & approachable to all people! I hope to always offer my support and encouragement to people who need it and never make them feel invaluable or unimportant. Everyone has value, everyone is worthy of acceptance.

I don’t always do well the inauthenticity of social media. The fact that it’s a constant guessing game about what is real vs make believe is exhausting. I’m guilty of posting pictures I feel the best about but I don’t post them to gloat, or because I think I’m beautiful – in fact, I think my nose looks disproportionate to my other features in photos and showing my teeth is another one of those touchy subjects. I love style, I love clothes, I post my photos because I hope to inspire people! But also because it keeps me moving forward with my business since I am one of those people who fights with self doubt when momentum seems to fizzle.

I am however, confident. Sure that God made me with purpose! He gave me talent that will be used and needed and bring life to lots of people! I love what I do, I’m willing to fight for it and keep going through the hard days and moments of self doubt because someone needs me to show up & be the best possible version of myself! For me, it isn’t about just me. It’s about the people who need me to show up and be a stylist, a friend, an open ear, someone who won’t judge them or shame them. •
I’m in this thing to do what I love, to be successful at it and watch it produce fruit that lasts in people’s lives. Jesus gave me the vision for LivStyled, He keeps me grounded and full of hope for my future, He opens doors that I am in awe of and He is faithful!
