One of the most important relationships we have is with ourselves. If we don’t strive to become the healthiest version of who we are then we will live this life believing we will never measure up. And there’s so much more for us than that!
Give yourself the permission to believe that what’s in your heart is important despite its relevancy. That you don’t need to ‘look the part’ because that’s what others expect of you. What’s in your heart is valuable & worthy wether it’s about Jesus, anxiety, work, happiness, politics, family, your kids or food, it all matters because every one of those things play a vital role in making up the whole person of YOU.
It’s good to remind yourself that you don’t have to be extraordinary to be loved. You just have to be you & understand that you are enough.

What if she could be saved BEFORE she enters a life of trafficking?! It is an honor to partner with @lovejusticeintl to bring awareness and opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people around the world! Did you know that 24-40 million people are in slavery around the world? That is absolutely horrific. LoveJusticeInternational steps in during the process of trafficking to rescue women BEFORE they’re tricked into a life of slavery. They have saved over 13,500 lives… YOU GUYS!! We have the chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus, even if that’s simply investing in & equipping people like LoveJustice to be able to continue to do their work! It costs a little over $100/month to save a life, to SAVE A LIFE! I am moved and shaken by this organization and hope you feel a tug in your heart to support them!
Why ‘Project Beautiful’?
“We believe every life is beautiful.
She is a child of God, and He knows her by name.
She is worth everything to Him.
She is not just a victim.
She is human. She is precious.
She deserves to be free.
Because every life is beautiful.”

This little quote just keeps circling around my heart. Isn’t it so (unfortunately) normal for us to consider ourselves a mess instead of a work in progress or a story worth writing? Life can most definitely be messy & for some the messy chapters feel like the end of their story. My story has been full of love, pain & beauty. It has bursted with adventure and challenge & it’s a story of loss, hope and healing! My story is about a girl discovering the depth, width & constant love of Jesus! For the refugees that are rebuilding their life in a foreign place, the mothers who are raising babies on their own, or babies who have grown without a mother, the people who have suffered the loss of a loved one or have dealt with depression and heaviness – YOU ARE A STORY WORTH WRITING! •“If here is hope in the future, there is power in the present!”-Zig Ziglar •“For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you & not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Only a liar can make you feel isolated in a world full of people fighting the same battles as you. Depression, anxiety, divorce, miscarriage, grief, insecurity, self doubt, fear… we’ve ALL experienced something that’s left us feeling broken, all of us. (Yeah, it’s gettin real up in here) The catch is that we tend to choose shame and isolation from our brokenness over believing that it doesn’t define us or determine our future. A perfect Insta photo is lovely but it’s too easy to hide behind & we can’t maintain a life that appears beautiful when everything behind the scenes is falling apart. It took me a long time to stop feeling shame for miscarrying 3 of my 6 babies. Who told me that was MY fault?! Who says you deserved to be abused? Who said you aren’t good enough? Those are lies that are too commonly tucked away in our minds and left to torment us. When Jesus gave His life He made it possible for us to walk THROUGH our pain, not live in it. For us to be free from guilt & shame! We weren’t meant to figure it all out alone, we were meant to huddle around the broken and surround ourselves with people who love the way Jesus loves – without judgement. Jesus says, come all of you who are weary & burdened and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).Jesus loves the broken & beaten down! He calls us His beloved & He prepares a way of escape when it feels like there isn’t one.

•Worry about loving yourself instead of loving the idea of other people loving you• Easier said than done sometimes, huh? We all strive for acceptance & validation – we were created with a need for those things! The problem is when we try and attain them by being someone we think others might love and are too insecure to be who we really are with fear of rejection.
I’m not funny enough. My teeth are too crooked. My house isn’t full of expensive things. I don’t wear designer brands so I’m not legit. Those are all lies I’ve had to overcome in my own life, things that have hindered me in the past from believing in who I am & what I’m capable of. Honestly, things I genuinely don’t care about anymore thanks to the grace of God! I am Olivia Fitzpatrick – first a wife, then a mother & lastly a stylist. I’m just a girl trying to live my best life – a life that leaves a legacy of honesty, kindness & inspiration. I hope to be a truer version of the love of Jesus than the Christians who think they’re worthy of throwing the first stone. I hope to be a relatable friend, mother, wife and business woman – a place others can find belonging & encouragement. My dream isn’t to be a famous stylist; my dream is to let the Lord work through me, my business & through my experience as a mom and simply hold on through the adventure! He is capable of doing more with my life than I could ever hope, dream or imagine! My only concern these days is if I’m positioned and ready for Him to use at any moment, whether it’s in my kids lives, a strangers or in my work. I might not always love certain things about myself but I will give Him the room to help me see myself & others through His eyes to the best of my ability.

I realize not every girl wants to wear boots that fall under the ‘masculine’ category, but I sure do! (I think it’s the bad a** in me ?)That’s what’s so fun about understanding your personal style! If you love something a little obscure there is always a way to incorporate into your wardrobe! So, how the heck do you discover what your personal style even is?! How do you know which colors best compliment your skin tone, hair & eyes?! What about which silhouettes flatter your shape? Ooooh that one’s my favorite!
These are only a few of the questions we will answer during a styling session! It’s not my job to make your style resemble mine (unless you want it to of course!), it’s my job to help you understand your style, to help you feel confident, alive & secure in the clothes you wear and to put every detail together in a way that’s unique to you!
So many of my clients have become my friends and I’m so grateful for that element of my work! I am proud that my work has produced authentic trust & relationships.
Doing what you love means investing all of your heart and that’s a vulnerable place to be. I’ve experienced some unfair circumstances but chose to let those experiences evolve into lessons that caused me to learn and grow not discourage me from moving forward, even though I was tempted.
I read this on a recent post from @sarahbessey and I couldn’t believe how spot on it was! “The holy invitations to be brave with our life never end, do they? Everything we yearn for requires faith & patience, guts & grace.” Pretty sure that’s my motto for the next year. I needed that reminder that my business was a holy invitation to be brave, to trust God and keep going because he’s got me! He called me.

This cold weather (and my sore throat) have me day dreaming about San Diego & that warm sunshine I was lounging in only days ago! •
Church was SO life giving this morning! I had moments of serious appreciation for the way God strategically & creatively did things in the Bible and the fact that He hasn’t changed how He works today. He’s a strategic and intentional God that lays the steps before us, all He asks us to do it trust Him & keep following Him. •
When he asked Abraham to sacrifice Issac he knew that God was too faithful to make him follow it through, so he did it with complete peace and assurance that God had other plans in mind! Abraham didn’t doubt Gods goodness or leading. Of course That was true. He used that moment as a monumental one in the story of Jesus to show us the blessing and security in knowing & trusting that even when things look horrible and scary, He provides a way of escape when we trust His leading! That to reach the unseen doors we have to first find the ones that lead to it – He sees them all, he knows which steps and decisions need to be made to reach them and he provides what we need to walk through them. My spirit is full and refreshed!

I love the thought of being captivated with purpose! That idea offers so much space to dream and wander around the possibilities of your future. (It also leaves less room for comparison to sneak in.) I wonder if purpose can ever be completely fulfilled or if it just continues to evolve and grow as new doors open that lead to new seasons and opportunities within our purpose. •

Maybe that’s too deep for a Tuesday but it’s definitely swirling around in my heart today! •

Ephesians 2:10 – We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Keepin’ on with that go-get-em-girl spirit and loving how I get to be used by a God who sees the full picture and trusts me enough to show me pieces of it along it the way. Trusting Him with every unseen next step has become more exciting than scary because of the things I’ve seen him do in lives around me and in my own. He is a creative God and that captives me!
