We just spent the week with some of our closets, most dear friends from our previous home city, San Diego. I am so filled up and grateful! Our week was spent making new memories, vulnerably sharing challenges and reminding each other that being together and living in each moment with people you love is like splashing cool water on a rosy-cheeked face. It was so nice to slow down and be aware of the places, spaces & people who enrich our lives so much; especially to share it with someone who I adore so greatly!

A sneak peak from today’s shoot with a few locals that seriously left me floating! Collaborating is the best! Well when it works as seamlessly as it did today, anyways. I’m ALL for partnering to create magic, without a doubt – but that’s not always the outcome, I’ve gotten majorly burned and discouraged as a result of collabs too. (Am I allows to say that or this a taboo topic?! I don’t really care either way. ??♀️)
But I choose to keep going, to forget about the people who treated me poorly or felt for some reason they had to bulldoze me. Maybe I was a threat? If that’s the case they never took the time to know me, my vision or my heart and that’s a bummer because I’m a pretty easy person to buddy up to! Needless to say, I’m a little bit more careful with who I choose to partner up with these days.
Today I worked with @helloimemmaquinn @alyssamcelheny @launchsalon and they were all of the things (and more!) that you hope for in a project! We made magic. I have more projects coming that I’m very excited to share with you all!! Plus more stunners from today’s shoot as well! .

You know when you’re in a season of growth and moments of feeling overwhelmed sneak up & you’re not sure you have the capacity to grow anymore? I found myself in one of those moments recently, an extended one, actually… I hate when they do that! When they seem to linger for longer than they’re welcome. But it’s also in those moments, those seasons, that the need for inward growth becomes greater.
This season has been challenging! It’s amazing what the Lord will speak when you really pour your heart out to Him & let Him get closer. I found myself in the middle of worship at @newchapel pouring my heart out with expectation; James 4:8 says that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. He spoke one simple thing to my heart that morning and it was then that I understood this season I’m in – it’s an opportunity. A chance to let the Lord work in me to increase my capacity, refresh my spirit and give new vision for my family & business! If a business needs to grow strategically you better believe the people behind them do too! I’m amazed again & again at the goodness of God and how intentionally He works in our lives. So I’m soaking up this season of nearness to Him and excited for the things to come! ? @kelseyhettinga .
