Thinking about the sunshine & missing it’s cozy, warm touch. Probably because I’m sitting in my car while my babe naps in his car seat and I’m surrounded by white sky poop aka snow – you can thank my kids for that sweet little description.
It’s always kind of nice when I’m forced into this position of patience and quiet while my sweet one is resting. I mean give me alone time & some soft music and it’s a recipe for self reflection, the older I get the more I realize how quick I am to go deep – I wonder why that is?! I guess I’m more willing to become aware of my shortcomings and let the Lord help me become someone better, self reflection isn’t always fun – the list of things to work on is endless, but it’s in this safe space where I can also give the Lord a chance to remind me of the areas I should be proud. Today I was reminded that growth is a lifelong process, it’s not making a decision today to be someone who’s got it all together and by tomorrow having it all figured out. It’s ok to let the process happen, to grow little by little and even let myself fail along the way – without letting it defeat me. One foot in front of the other, get back up, try again, change the strategy, let patience have its perfect work. I’m a work in progress & I am a-ok with that! ? @kelseyhettinga .
