Self reflection has become a regular activity around here as of late. I want to live in a constant position of gratitude & awareness – for my life journey so far and the things I have yet to discover in my story.
I feel full of eager anticipation for the things ahead! But today I also feel aware of the process, the steps I’ve walked that have lead me here. They’ve written a lovely little story and today is a valuable part just like the rest, a page that holds a new paragraph in my story. Like with the unfolding of spring, everyday is significant; the rainy days that soften the earth, the sunny days that feed the soil, all with the anticipation for new life to emerge.
But the process couldn’t begin without a seed – like a vision for the flower from the hand of the planter, my God anticipates the moment my life emerges into something new and beautiful and I come alive! The way I did when I got married or became a mom, the way I did when I overcame anxiety and grew in confidence! The way I will so many more times in this life! So, I’m aware of the process and grateful for the days and moments that push me closer to another season of refreshing and newness! .

Where you are at in your life right now is relevant, it’s a part of your story! Today is an important day. It’s another day to notice the little things and appreciate this season in your life! It might not be full of things that make you exceedingly happy or maybe it is! Either way there’s something valuable in your today that’s worth being noticed. It’s another day to spend with your closest friends, enjoy your favorite coffee or wear something that makes you feel confident! Another day to dream, to achieve and to invest in lives around you. I see my wild and crazy kids today, laughing and playing. I see the wet roads hinting at spring, I’m heading to work in a place that makes me feel inspired and happy! I’m thankful for another day to be present in my life and aware of the things that make today so lovely! .

Just sitting around, pondering this little thing called life. What a beautiful thing to share with so many lovely people! My world is my people – the ones so far in distance but so close in heart. The ones right around the corner who are a part of my every day, my celebrations and the moments of building character. The ones I have yet to meet. My husband and kids (oh man, I love those people! ?) motivate me to be the best possible version of myself! For them, for me, for all of my people! I want to offer my heart to the world and watch it grow in countless ways; in love, wholeness, creativity, relationship, trust, confidence, sincerity… if not for my people, all of the people, then for what?
