If you’re looking for a perfectly curated feed you will not find that here! Take this photo for instance – blurry, not posed whatsoever BUT it documents one of the most satisfying ugly laughs of my life! We laughed so hard that we ended up missing our stop because we were distracted and had to ride all the way to the last stop of the route adding 3 hours to our train ride! We were the only 2 on the train with the conductors that graciously (and luckily!!) took us back to our stop so we could get our car! It was both horrifying and one of the best memories of all time. Missing you, our ugly laughs and adventures @kelseyhettinga ❤️ What I want is to be a splash of real in a heavily edited place, to represent myself in a way thats reflects my values and life with accuracy – it’s too easy to get swept up in the faux images of peoples lives. Don’t forget your value isn’t measured by the clarity of your photos, the brands of your clothing or how you appear on IG – if you’re a different person face to face than you are on IG, chances are something is probably not in balance. Trust me, I’m guilty of this stuff too – we all want to feel relevant but we can’t attract our tribe by being a false version of ourselves. So here’s to being me! A happy, ugly laughing Olivia. .

Dear Mr. Sun,
Thank you for coming to visit and shining oh-so-vibrantly today!
So, this morning I went to a kickboxing class at 7:45am, I was still wiping sleep drool from my chin when I pulled up. So early. But! It was my first time & can I just say, I felt like such a BOSS. Seriously. The whole time I was taking to my punching bag, “my arms might be skinny, but fool you’re going down!!” It was an entirely different kind of satisfying than I had anticipated! I won’t be able to walk or lift my arms tomorrow but it was def worth it. After that I came home with a tray full tasty Starbucks drinks for my hair dresser (& lifelong friend), one of my closest gals & myself in preparation for a spring hair makeover in my kitchen! (Pics to follow someday, we all know I’m not the best at posting often…Is it bad that I don’t care?!) It’s been a really happy day and I’m a really happy girl. Also, any chance you noticed the incredibly fantastic top I’m wearing in this picture?! @clothandcabin Spring line gives me all the feels! So many good pieces for you to drool over, good luck only picking 7!! Happy Saturday!! .

Thinking about the sunshine & missing it’s cozy, warm touch. Probably because I’m sitting in my car while my babe naps in his car seat and I’m surrounded by white sky poop aka snow – you can thank my kids for that sweet little description.
It’s always kind of nice when I’m forced into this position of patience and quiet while my sweet one is resting. I mean give me alone time & some soft music and it’s a recipe for self reflection, the older I get the more I realize how quick I am to go deep – I wonder why that is?! I guess I’m more willing to become aware of my shortcomings and let the Lord help me become someone better, self reflection isn’t always fun – the list of things to work on is endless, but it’s in this safe space where I can also give the Lord a chance to remind me of the areas I should be proud. Today I was reminded that growth is a lifelong process, it’s not making a decision today to be someone who’s got it all together and by tomorrow having it all figured out. It’s ok to let the process happen, to grow little by little and even let myself fail along the way – without letting it defeat me. One foot in front of the other, get back up, try again, change the strategy, let patience have its perfect work. I’m a work in progress & I am a-ok with that! ? @kelseyhettinga .

I want to be authentic. (And good at math, but yikes… that is not the case!) I want to be true to who I am & approachable to all people! I hope to always offer my support and encouragement to people who need it and never make them feel invaluable or unimportant. Everyone has value, everyone is worthy of acceptance.

I don’t always do well the inauthenticity of social media. The fact that it’s a constant guessing game about what is real vs make believe is exhausting. I’m guilty of posting pictures I feel the best about but I don’t post them to gloat, or because I think I’m beautiful – in fact, I think my nose looks disproportionate to my other features in photos and showing my teeth is another one of those touchy subjects. I love style, I love clothes, I post my photos because I hope to inspire people! But also because it keeps me moving forward with my business since I am one of those people who fights with self doubt when momentum seems to fizzle.

I am however, confident. Sure that God made me with purpose! He gave me talent that will be used and needed and bring life to lots of people! I love what I do, I’m willing to fight for it and keep going through the hard days and moments of self doubt because someone needs me to show up & be the best possible version of myself! For me, it isn’t about just me. It’s about the people who need me to show up and be a stylist, a friend, an open ear, someone who won’t judge them or shame them. •
I’m in this thing to do what I love, to be successful at it and watch it produce fruit that lasts in people’s lives. Jesus gave me the vision for LivStyled, He keeps me grounded and full of hope for my future, He opens doors that I am in awe of and He is faithful!

I LOVE working in wardrobes! So much of the time I start going through someone’s wardrobe and discover their comfort zone clothes and then a few splashes of major inspiration about what they would reeeaally like their personal style to be. I mean coming across leather vests and fur in a more conservative closet is my faaaaaav! I am so grateful that my clients trust me, I stretch them to dive into clothes that make them feel alive vs comfortable. (Although comfort is always an element of my styling too!) The response is usually, “I had no idea I could do this!” They feel empowered, beautiful, excited and actually look forward to getting dressed.
You can always let your comfort zone and edgy side mingle by mixing pieces that highlight who you are as well as how you feel! An example is this photo – a tunic length button up over an asymmetrical tank & distressed denim. An unlikely pair that when put together, create a style unique to you! Don’t be afraid to be you and express yourself through your clothing! And if you aren’t really sure who you want to be with your wardrobe selection I can help you discover your personal style and build a wardrobe to reflect it.
