I’ve had this sweater and pants for weeks and haven’t worn them yet because it’s been too hot in SD but I’m packing for Michigan weather baby!! I’ll be honest I’ve been riding the struggle bus lately, adjusting to a new city is hard. New friends, new job challenges, fretting over kids and how they’re adjusting… but today a friend sent me a little snippet that changed my perspective SO much. It was simple… Jesus wasn’t in a hurry, He didn’t feel rushed to be a success or need to be seen. He simple delighted in a slow, intentional life & waited on His fathers timing. Deeeeeep breath. Gods got it – every detail is thought through down to the minute, I just need to step into His peace & let Him do His job while I work on my heart & be present in my everyday. This season I’m choosing to press into the simpler things that I love, listening to my kids play imaginatively & meeting my husband for lunch. Using my quiet time to post up and work on my business, go for a solo trip to the beach or be there when a friend says she needs me. Being like Jesus doesn’t just mean reaching others, it means emulating His character & allowing God to be enough when things feel still..
